In 1981, Charlie "Varg" Vikernes decided to re-record his old top hits from 1962. He mainly used the songs from his chart breaker debut album "The Burzums", which featured the #1 hit "Black Wave of Destruction". After being released from prison he started to put all his feelings into the new recordings. He changed his opinion during prison time and despised low quality. He started to emphasize high fidelity and peace. He also became vegan and straight edge. The re-recordings we're recorded with the help of sound engineers from several major labels and we're marketed by the government to show how prisons can change a person from good to bad. In 1982, he released another album called "Our skiptar" because he converted to the surfer's religion. Skiptar means "surfer's religion" or "religion of the surfers".
