Guru Govinda dou khade kake lagu pay
Balihari Guru apaki jina Govinda diyo batay

My Guru and the Lord both stand before me. To whom should I bow down first?
O Guru, I totally give myself to you who has shown the Lord to me.

Balihari mai balihari mai,
Guru charana kamala para vari mai

1. Timira bhare dou naina mere,
Chahu disha chhaye ghora andhere
Sataguru anjana bhara bhara gere,
Nirmala najara udhari mai

2. Mai paradesana raha bhulani,
Bana jangala me phiru hirani
Sataguru milaya rahabara jani,
Sidhe maraga dari mai

3. Gahari nadiya bega apara,
Dubata jaya rahi mazha dhara
Dekara apana baha sahara,
Pala me para utari mai

4. Dustara maya jala phasai,
Sataguru mere bandha chhudai
Brahmananda swarupa samai,
Ghata ghata jyota nihari mai.

I am all Yours, I am all Yours,
I have surrendered myself at the Guru's lotus feet.

1. You have filled my eyes with light, where once I saw only darkness in every direction. My Sadguru applied the divine ointment to my eyes, opening for me a pure, clear vision.

2. I was a stranger, the path was lost; I was wandering like a lost deer in the forest, worried. My Sadguru knows the way: He found me and put me on the right path.

3. The river was so deep and swift and I was about to drown. He took me by the arm and in a split second took me across to the other bank.

4. I was entangle in a vile net of illusion; my Sadguru freed me from that bondage. Merged in the bliss of the Self, I see the divine light everywhere.
