"Believe me, I understand loneliness. I have seen countless Ninja come and go. It is unfortunate that I cannot watch over these fine warriors for the entirety of their lives, but there is always duty. To the world. To Norrisville. To Ninjas past. To Ninjas yet to come.
It is painful to part with these young people I have had the pleasure to watch grow, but life is pain. And joy. Loss. Love. Sadness. Pleasure. A plethora of experiences that I cannot bear to steal away from my charges by asking them to dedicate their entire lives to my responsibilities.

The ending half is a chunky piece of dialogue I did out of the blue, so it’s a mixture of formal and informal Japanese.
