Dying Light (Ft. Brendan Wilson of Into The Flood)
As my light dims darker and darker, my eyes get heavier and heavier. I'm fading away. The life that I once knew is coming to an end, they tell me to have hope but where has it been?
And when you think back to the times we had just know that I'm with you through the good and bad, for in the end you and I, we'll see each other again.
One step forward, two steps back. And now I'm trying to relive the life I once had. If I could go back to the days when our lives didn't have an expiration date, I wouldn't change a thing for you and I.
My body may fade away but your memories will always remain, when I'm in the grave. As my lungs fail and I breathe my last breath just know that I loved you more than my own life.
And when you think back to the times we had just know that I'm with you through the good and bad, for in the end you and I, we'll see each other again.
(We'll see each other again.)
They said to cherish the life of the ones you love, but now I'm floating further and further away from all of you. Now that you're gone, I'm left here with the thoughts of what could have been.
How could you leave me when I needed you? I did the best I could with the time I had. How could I leave you when you needed me? You did the best you could with the time you had. I guess I'm a dying light. I'll never forget. Please remember me.
