Aki (Sasuke): So do you. So the clothes really do make the man.
Haru: Woah! It’s so pretty!
Aki: It is.
Haru: That was a big one!
Haru: It’s like the fireworks are drawing a big picture in the night sky! Hey, that last big one was intense!
Aki: You can feel the vibrations.
Haru: Last year, I couldn’t come see this cuz of work. This summer’s fireworks are awesome!
Aki: Are you all right with time?
Haru: Can we stay longer? I like it here.
Aki: Okay.
Aki (to himself): It’s been 10 months since I met you.
Aki: How long are you going to keep your business going?
Haru: I’m not sure. Y’know, I started this because I wanted to give back to all the people who helped me, the people who changed me to who I am now. But it’s not the same, y’know? Those people- they helped me without asking for anything in return. So I thought I’d do it for everyone else and not ask for anything back.
Haru: I want to change the world in my own way. It’s true I didn’t go to school and don’t have any money. I know I’m not the smartest but I’m serious about this. I’ve been dreaming of it since I was a kid. At first I thought I would change the world so I can find my parents. Then as I got older I said I’d change it so I can have new parents, and now it’s so I can do what I want. But I knew I needed to be powerful first. Now, I know better. Even if you’re not powerful, you just have to do what you can. So, in my own way, I decided to change the world, one hour at a time. I’m not changing the entire world, but I’d like to think that each person’s life, in that hour, got better cuz of me. That’s why I don’t think I’ll stop. I’m sure the world’s gonna change. Big waves come from small ripples. No matter how small, eventually the impact becomes big. So no matter how small, I want to keep helping. I want to have a part in that.
Aki: Change the world, huh? That’s an awfully ambitions dream. But it’s definitely you.
Aki (to himself): But I know you can do it. You changed me too after all. With this mysterious unlimited energy of yours that’s just like the sun. I’m sure paths will open before you.
Aki: Let me help you change the world.
Haru: That would be fantastic!
Haru: At first it was just one hour and now here we are. Even water droplets can someday be a river.
Aki (to himself): I don’t believe in fate. But there are circumstances in your life that are just out of your control, like a single business card.
Aki: I know it’s hard cleaning all the empty rooms in my house. Those rooms need someone needing shelter from the rain. Or even someone who’ll only come whenever they need a decent meal. Why don’t you be that person for me?
Haru: *Smiles* Actually, I just got kicked out by my friend this morning, so I have no place to stay anyway. *laughs*
At Aki’s House
Aki: Haru is life personified. He is vivid, bright, and warm. He shines as if he has the sun on his back. This world isn’t just boring, painful, and arduous. There is surprise and joy with adventures and encountering the unknown. I don’t want to stay stagnant and waste my life. Haru taught me that. It’s not too late for me yet, is it Haru?
