Born in a beautiful country and soundly brought up We know a happiness greater than no other But still, we want too many things We get annoyed about something, saying "It's not enough" and "I'm not satisfied" Let's just put all of the world's bank notes into shredders So we can understand how stupid these callous feelings really are
That said, I don’t know the details But those people that looked so diligent and hard-working Were just working to please bean-counters, with misguided notions about money, love and stimulants It doesn’t matter whether there’s a reason we were born At the end of the day, we’re all breathing and blood is flowing through our bodies This person and that person – they’re all living in these times
Can you laugh again? Do you still have things you want to do? What's the colour of the sun in the west, peeping through there? As long as we hope, we’ll have one disappointment after another But if you can spend your life loving, just loving That moment when you feel like you can truly understand each other Surely tomorrow will be wonderful
We push everything onto the boy who cries Saying “I didn’t want to bully people, I just did it because I thought That if I didn’t, someone would bully me” The bean-counters’ channel dictates justice I don’t think that we have evil inside of us We just don’t know what to do; we get hurt and hurt others in our struggle to find out
Because we were born and grew up in a beautiful country We spend our days taking every little thing for granted We want only what’s perfect, and as a result People avoid those who aren’t perfect It doesn’t matter whether there’s a reason we’re alive At the end of the day, that boy and the politicians both cry and laugh On this same planet
Can you still walk? Can you get up when you fall? What you see from there is not heaven or hell, but a developing country Even if you have one disappointment after another, it's worth keeping your eyes on it But if you can spend your life loving, just loving, supporting The person in front of you, who you feel you can truly understand Surely there’s still time
It doesn’t matter if we’re full of flaws; it doesn’t matter if the town is rotten to the core You can change what you see from there into heaven or hell Can you still laugh? Can you still walk? Take that person you feel you can truly understand Our tomorrow, born between two people loving each other Awaits; surely, our world is wonderful
