In Fiddler on the Roof,
In the forest it grew,
In winter and summer slim,
Green was.
Snowstorm she sang a little song:
"Sleep, herringbone, bye-bye!"
Frost snow wrapped up:
"Look, do not freeze!"
Coward hare greyish
Under the Christmas tree danced.
Sometimes the wolf, angry wolf,
Ran into a trot.
Hark! Snow in the woods frequent
Under the runner creaks;
Rough-legged horse
Rushing, running.
Lucky horse drovenki,
A little man in a wood-sledge,
He cut down our Christmas tree
At the very root.
And here she is, dressed,
On the feast came to us,
And much, much joy
Kids brought.
