«Auxochromes» for piano and tape (2001)

The electronic sounds in the tape part were derived from samples taken from the piano. The demanding dialogue between piano and electronics has an enhancing effect on the aspect of tone colour. (Auxochromes means as much as: intensifying of colours).

At one moment the electronic part has the principal role, at others it is the piano which takes the lead. Because the natural acoustics of the piano are enlarged by the sounds in the electronic part, a broad landscape of sounds unfolds.
