I hear that it's your birthday, the news is trav'ling far
It's orbiting around the Earth, and heading to the stars

The news it circled 'round the Moon, and gave the Moon a smile;
And wandered off to Venus, and lingered there a while;
At Mercury it stayed to see, that planet's bashful side
And shadowed craters at the poles, where ice can stay and hide

The Sun it laughed to hear the news and bellowed out a cheer
Which sailed upon the solar wind for nearly all a year
The news was just too good to keep, it's heading to the stars;
But on its way it gave a wave to the robots down on Mars.

At Jupiter it gathered steam, from Io's orange blast
And watched the jovian northern lights, as it went streaming past
The rocky rings of Saturn, they covered it in dust
So it took a little shower, at the font Enceladus

It zoomed away to Uranus, with its skinny dusty rings
Then played a tune on Neptune, with Triton's singing springs
And now it's passing Voyager, it's left our Sun behind;
And heading to the Milky Way where all the stars do shine

And guess what those stars all joined in, when they heard the news?
They pulled themselves together to give Birthday Cheer to You!
