Girl: Did you hear what the school is doing, because of the green initiative campaign?

Boy: Yeah, they are cutting down the electricity consumption.

Girl: Exactly, but do you think it will actually cut down on electricity?

Boy: I'm not sure, what do you think?

Girl: I think they are going to inconvenience many students with their new energy saving procedures. First of all, they are upgrading the lights in the library with energy-efficient lighting. However, I learned that those lights are dim, so it could be hard to study and therefore, students might go back to their dorms to study.

Boy: I never thought about that. You could be right.

Girl: Also, the students go to the library because it is a comfortable temperature to study at, but now they are going to decrease the temperature by 5 degrees. Therefore, the students have another reason to study in their dorm rooms.

Boy: So what is so bad about studying in their dorm rooms insted of the library?

Girl: Look. It is somehow ironic. The school is trying to conserve energy by changing the light and temperature in the library, but that change might cause student to study in their dorm rooms where the lights are normal and students can set their own temperature, and therefore there is a possibility that they would consume more energy.
